Subhouses
Subhouses are akin to clubs and are designed to benefit students that excel in certain classes. Each Subhouse has its own Mascot which in turn keeps an eye on students. Be mindful that your Subhouse badge can be revoked if you drop in grade beneath A during O.W.L. exams. You only need to receive below an A in the classes required for your chosen Subhouse.
Unlike your House, you can pick your Subhouse based on preference in classes.
Unlike at Hogwarts and other schools overseas, O.W.L. exams are done once a year at this academy.
Knucker
Subhouse for Creature Care, Magizoology, and Charms
The Knucker is a lithe and small Dragon species with wings too tiny to fly with, but it can glide and spits acidic venom.

Snallygaster
Subhouse for D.A.D.A, Dueling, Curses and Curse Breaking
The Snallygaster is a bit hard to describe... It technically is avian yet also somewhat related to Wyverns.
Subhouse Colors: Indigo and green
Grimalkin
Subhouse for Transfiguration, Potions, and Divination
The Grimalkin appears to be a grey female cat with immense magical power and it's not really a cat, but a Fae.
Subhouse Colors: Royal purple and turquiose
